Jamie Cheever blogged about her trip to the USATF Elite Athlete Summit in Miami, FL and said that USATF brought an athlete who is "currently banned based on positive drug tests".
Any idea who she's referring to? My first thought was Tyson Gay.

Galen Rupp?
hmmm
It was Tyson Gay
Um, ever heard of rupp?
But now any mention of it has been taken off her blog. USATF playing rough with an athlete's honest reaction?
What on earth is accomplished with this Elite get together that wouldn't be more useful to pay travel to meets for the outdoor season (especially for an athlete like Cheever's who probably doesn't make a stipend at all from Brooks). Why would USATF pay for this get together instead of genuine support is the real question!

was it tyson? on the sidebar, she also has a little note/addendum blog that says "formerly banned"....good for her for calling it out regardless- shame it's not there anymore.http://jamiecheeverrunnning.blogspot.com/2013/10/formerly-banned.html

if it is a formerly banned athlete, that narrows it down. Couldn't have been a distance runner - there are no elite formerly banned US distance runners, are there? Maybe Lukezic, but that was a technicality and he is out of the sport.
probably a sprinter - lashawn merritt?
