Hello. I am 14 year old freshman in high school I am 5 foot and 4 inches and 97 pounds. My 5k time is 20:00 and my 2 mile time is 14:20. My 1 mile time is 5:45.
I have a question. If I keep working hard and training good with no injuries. is it possible to reach sub 16:30 for 5k. I want to qualify for the state meet which needs somewhere around 16:20 for the 5k. Is it possible for me to reach that? How many miles per week should I be doing? I run like 30-32 MPW right now. Where should I be by end of freshman year. And anything that could help me.
