I was just reading this:

It's about Rit'z 2012 Chicago Marathon, but seeing as it worked then I assume he did something similar this year.
In it, he says he drinks 4-6 oz of Gatorade every 1-2 miles. That averages out to about 87 oz over the marathon plus or minus. A 12 oz serving of Gatorade has 310 calories, so he's taking in about 2256 calories.
I looked up the nutrition facts on a GU packet, they are 100 calories each. What's the normal amount of those people eat in the marathon? 6? 8? Ritz is taking in the equivalent of 22.5... Is that normal at all or is he extremely over-compensating for his past history?
