Arcianaga would have defeated him, I don't think Tegs 2:12 would have equally converted on the TC course.

He wasn't racing against Arciniaga, was he
If he had he would have lost that's the point. If all he could manage was 2:12 on the pancake flat Chicago course with pacers and competition all around how would he keep with the others in TC where it was a tactical race that still went faster
Teg would have dusted the guys at TC, he was out 2min faster in Chicago, 2min! He easily could have jogged a 67min first half like the guys in TC and then crush it off the back end. It would not have been close.
Teg's entire approach to the race would have been different against the TC field. I'd say he would have won.
You don't think that Nick did the same thing to everyone else? Teg would have just been another casualty.
Kawauchi would also have defeated Teg.
When is the last time Arciniaga has defeated Teg in anything? The last time would be the first time.
And by the way, Nick at Chicago would have bombed to a 2:17, based on his big-race history.
