Berardelli has had a few of his athletes busted in Kenya and yet he is still out there coaching. As you say, you cannot just pick on Russia.

If the IAAF was truly serious about combating doping they would also be severely punishing the coaches and managers of athletes who are busted.

Can we get lists of athletes banned, their ban length, and events instead of some confusing news articles?

The post seems crystal clear to me - one coach has had 11 of his athletes test positive for drugs.

German Skurygin-1st 1999 World Champs 50km. Banned 99-01

Valeriy Borchin- 2008 Olympic Champion, 2009,2011 World Champion. Banned 05-06 and tested positive for EPO in February of 2008 but allowed to compete anyway.

Sergey Morosov- 2005 World Youth Champion, 2007 European Jr Champion. Banned 08-10, received lifetime ban December of 2012.

Vladimir Kanaykin- Former World Record Holder, 2nd 2011 world champs, bronze 2012 world cup. Banned 08-10

Victor Burayev-3rd 2001 world champs, banned 08-10

Aleksey Voyevoden- 2004 Olympic Bronze, 2nd 2005 World Champs. Banned 08-10

Igor Erokhin- 2008 Olympian, fifth place 2012 Olympics. Banned 08-10, received lifetime ban in 2012

Olympiada Ivanova- Former World record Holder, 1st 2001 world champs, 2nd 2004 Olympics, 1st 2005 World Champs. Stripped of 1997 World champs silver and banned 98-99

Tatyana Mineyeva- 2008 World Junior Champ, 2011 U-23 European Champ Banned 12-14

Ekaterina Medvedeva- 2012 World Jr Champion. Banned 13-15

All of these athletes are/were part of the same training group that is coached by Viktor Chegin. What does it matter if the coach is Russian or American? What matters is the lack of response from the IAAF on all these coaches.

That's only 10 athletes. This one goes up to 11.

I am so sorry for tarnishing Chegin's spotless record. "Only" 10 of his athletes have tested positive. Feel free to pull out the tar and feathers.

How do you stop someone from coaching? Credentials can be denied, but otherwise how does it work?

That's the question. Chegin is the director of a multi-million dollar facility devoted solely to race walking. What consequences should be in place for any coach found in a similar position? If anything can be done?

They need to get in touch with Carmelita Jeter and her coach for tips on how to avoid detection. She's been pretty successful for the past 4 years at cheating without getting busted. Maybe she needs to conducts workshops on the issue.

Now stop it, Renato Canova said there were only two Kenyans doping in all of Kenya and now both of them have been caught.

I guess that you don't follow distance running very closely. Have you ever heard of Matthew Kisorio? or Jemima Sumgong?

I guess that you are trolling but at least 15 Kenyan distance runners have tested positive for banned substances in the last year. This does not mean that they are all doping but it is high number of positives even when compared with countries like Spain or Morocco which have a "bad reputation".

Good stats and I agree with you. A coach should definitely be banned for life if they are the ones supplying the drug. When someone has so many doped athletes I would ban them anyway!
