Been tryin to go sub 18 most of the yr now.. Last yr I ran a 20:38. So perhaps breaking 20, 19, and 18 in one yr is a pretty lofty goal, but who cares! haha.
My last race I was at the 2 mile marker at exactly 11:34 but couldn't maintain the proper 5:47 pace for the last mile, and ended up w/ a 18:31 time which I was pleased w/ cuz it's a PR for me on that course which has some inclines throughout..
Anyways, my question here is how much longer before I will be able to breakthrough and nail that last mile, for a 17:59?
On that particular day it was a tad muggy and 65.. Would a 45-50 degree morning make any difference? I'm not looking for excuses just wondering what some factors might play a role.
Thanks for the time everyone! Hit those PR's this autumn!
