Hi everyone!
I'm a senior looking to run in college. I'm looking at a bunch of ivies, along with several D3 schools. My first choice as of now is Harvard; I'm applying early.
Anyway, my PR's are 1:58 (junior spring), 4:27 (junior spring), and 16:46 (this season). Obviously I'm much weaker at XC... but the 16:46 is on the same course that I ran 18:30 on last season, so I am improving.
In order to have any shot at application support at my top schools, I'd have to run a 4:20 indoors this winter. I've never run an indoor race before and my school does not offer indoor track, but I can train by myself.
Obviously this is an ambitious goal, but there is no harm in trying. What should I be doing between now and then in terms of preparation? I've been running 60 mpw for XC, which should serve as a nice base. Most specifically, what should I do in the 1 month period between the end of XC and my goal race (12/28)?
