I was curious what you guys thought I could run a 5k in currently.
I have pr's of 1:25 600m, 2:31 (1k), 3:59 (1500), 9:22(2 mile) and 15:56 5k (last year). Last year I ran the 1500 and 2 mile after missing a month and a half due to injury and those times for off of strictly cross training and about 4 weeks of running.
I have been running the highest quantity of miles and the highest quality of miles of my life. The last 6 weeks I have been at about 55 mpw, and averaged around 45-50 throughout the summer. My weekly average mile pace is at about 6:20 and I have two workouts weekly and a LR. I have 3 easy run days, which include strides, and one day off.
Last Week:
Mon: 6 Mile Tempo at 5:32 pace
Wed: 5k tempo 16:19
Sat: 12 Mile Long Run at 5:52 pace
Two weeks ago:
Tuesday: 5k Race (As a workout, 1 mile easy, 1 mile hard (4:50), 800 easy, 1000 m hard ( 2:51) total time 16:24)
Thursday: 4x1 mile w/ 600 meter jog recovery. 4:57, 4:54, 4:50, 4:47
Sat: 13.1 mile Long Run at 6:06 mile pace
