Training for my first marathon at the end of October. For the last few months at the end of my long runs my arms always get tired. Legs are fine, but my arms are tired of moving and is exhausting to carry. This first started happening when I was doing 14 miles, and still happens now that I'm at 20 mile long runs. It's normally the last 2 miles to 20 minutes of my run--it doesn't always happen, but is more frequent, than not.
Any suggestions or thoughts as to what it might be or how to eliminate the problem?
Also used to do 2 x 75 pushups everyday, thought that was the problem so I cut it down to 1 set, then only 50 reps, and now I only do 35 a few days per week. But that hasn't improved anything for me.
Female and aiming for sub 3 if that's of any significance.
