These "performance stability" shoes are getting released in October. Either because they got a chance to test these out or because they had experience with the Asics GEL-Lyte33, does anyone have a view on whether these shoes will be suitable for longer runs? (I am a 5'6'', 130 lb male, in case that affects your view.) Thanks in advance

Men's ASICS® GEL-Super J33
I did. they're nice, but get uncomfortable on slower, longer runs due to limited cushioning. My favorite use of them was on the track (that's where they feel really great) and during the winter I did a ton of workouts and easy runs in them on the treadmill, which was also pretty good. Also, the uppers developed tiny holes in them due to the very thin material used. Doesn't ruin the shoe altogether, but that is kind of strange.
I've been through two pairs of these now. I like them very much, got rid of the first pair when it started getting holes in the upper. Great shoe if you're looking for something light with just a little bit of control. Just a bit denser along the inside of the sole to keep you stable. They do have a pretty firm ride, so if you're looking for something with some squish these may not be perfect.
Definitely a good shoe though, one of my favorites.
