I know Rieti is still to come but does anyone know of any more races this year with a top 1500m field for women. I 'd love to see Simpson take one crack at sub 4:00.

I honestly don't care. I think today was an opportunity to run sub-4 but it was clear on the second lap she didn't want to try.
In the world championships she put herself into the lead. In this last race she was content to run in the middle of the pack even though the pace was slow and there were rabbits setting an honest pace.
It seems she is done for the season, satisfied with her silver medal and very respectable times in varying distances.

After Brussels, her prospects don't look good for doing it this year.
set up a mixed race like they did for Jordan Hasay in july. Get 4 or 5 men to pace her at 64 per lap. Could happen if the wanted to but probably no reason to other than to run fast. When i was in college 25 years ago i was in the perfect race where the leaders split 63 207 in a 1500m race. That is the pacing she needs
She could do an equivalent at the fifth ave mile
