3:50 & 7:30 indoors
He also still got 4th at the world champs and ran a good mile more recently.
3:50 and 7:30 were indoors 7 months ago.
His 5k pr is 12:58, so he obviously is capable, but I think Lagat's 1253 American record is a bit out of reach.
1) I said recently. When was indoors?
2) 4th at the world champs behind 3 guys who haven't broken 13 this year.

4th at the world champs ahead of 3 guys who have broken 27 this year.

sub 27 for the 10k is more difficult that sub 13 for the 5k.

ALL PRAISE TEAM BERNIE, RUPP'S 13:01 WASN'T EVEN CLOSE!!!!!!! IT'S NOT LIKE HE LEAD OR ANYTHING!! WHAT A PVSSY!!!
Thank you.
I didn't call Rupp a pvssy though. He's a great runner. But his fans are among the dumbest. Can you believe that some actually thought he'd break Bernie's AR?! Talk about deluded.

WRONG
Well he was only 2 seconds off
If he's gone earlier or not looked over his shoulder (and given up) he might have done it

Ok, I have to admit, I went and checked my facts AFTER posting. According to the IAAF website, 90 men have broken 10 in history, whereas 85 have broken 13. So they are remarkably similarly elite performances.
Oh, and only 48 men have broken 27, definitely a bit more elite.
3:50i
7:30i
4th at WC
13:01.37
Clearly he can go sub-13, even if he didn't this time and perhaps won't this year.
Interestingly that a tall(er) guy like Rupp is, by some estimates, a better indoor runner than outdoor.

Can you please elaborate some more? What is gw50, and how does it help? I'm pretty sure t3 is the thyroid medicine, right?
