I strongly feel that the 110 metres hurdles should be re-run for the mere reason that Canada's pedita Felicien stumbled into another athletes lane thereby bringing the Russian down or was it a case of her 1313 number?

As badly as I feel for the Russian woman, I don't think a rerun would be fair to the current medallists.
You just can't have a re-run.

didn't hear El G asking for a rerun in 1996! Its part of the sport and the russian should just stick her chin out and accept it

If you aren't aware of the difference between the 100mH and the 110mH, then how is anyone supposed to take your quest "in all seriousness"?
You're essentially saying that there should be a rule restricting where an athlete falls during a race. Get real.
If they don't want the risk of an athlete falling, they shouldn't be running hurdles.

You can't really compare a 10,000 with the hurdles. Viren proved you can fall hard and still win the 10,000.
Just let the russian run alone , then count her time against the others. They gave that American shot putter another toss a few years back for no apparent reason.
It was just a racing accident -- one of those unfortunate things. I feel bad for the Russian, but if we re-ran races to satisfy everyone's complaints, meets would never end. It was an unintentional incident in the midst of competition. The line has to be drawn someplace.
I think the hurdles should be re-run, along with the first round of the 1500m, namely heat 2.

I scored Felicien a 9.4 for the stumble on her dismount, but the Malaysian judge favored the russian. Just be thankful it wasn't Devers snagging an opponent with those claws of hers. Why doesn't Paul Hamm give his medal to the russian woman? Would that make everyone happy?
If the russian would have finished then she would have a better case. Sucks for the Russian, but thats sport.
I think the race should be re run. As long as Felicien is DQ'd for interference. She shouldnt get a 2nd chance for f***ing up the race.
It wasnt a fair competition for all competitors. Of course it should be re run.
