For those of you running fast finish long runs of 12 to 14 miles during the summer months, how do you adjust marathon pace to account for higher temps (75 to 80 degrees) and humidity (70% to 90%)?
I have no problem running goal pace in temps of 70 degrees or less, but have serious issues running close to marathon pace for this workout when the temps push above 70.
My last fast finish run will be run in 75 to 80 degree heat. Have tried getting up early, but I find that the higher humidity in the early am (typically 80% to 90%) cancels out any benefit from lower temps.
Thoughts appreciated.
