Dudes a baller
Eh. That's worse than the 2:18 1000m he ran a week ago. But still.
Making progress how? Toward a new career?
That's actually a poor result. He beat Sowinski in the 1000m and now lost to him over 800m in a 1:47 race. Ugh.

Maybe Sowinski is just better at shorter distances (600m)

How about a new race tactic instead of sitting in dead last. Good strategy at the super case DL races but not the C circuit 800.
The time is slow for him, but he does not set the pace at races and he beat Robinson, the Irish-Australian (har-har) that won the 1k.
Yes he had Plantar Fascitis. His plantar fascia was never torn. You have no idea what your talking about. Please cite your source.
Yeah, but he is making $650k a year still

He peaked in 2010, folks. One season down the tubes due to plantar fascitis is understandable. Three seasons in a row? Dude's toast. Can't handle the pros. Yes, he made the 2012 Olympic team. But for someone with his talent, he should be haulin' in medals.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
