Dibaba gets WR for 10k road on Sunday
More of a wish than a prediction: 30:15.
But based on her recent loss (by not much) to Meseret in the 5000m and Meseret's results this year at 10000m, 30:30 seems more reasonable.
By the way, do they have more leeway for doping in these events than at the world championships or Diamond league events?

Of course they have: It´s the country where euthanasia and doping stuff is really comon
I am not sure what euthanasia has to do with that. Seriously, I think there must be some form of anti-doping controls for a world record to be ratified, but do we know precisely what they are going to test in a relatively small event like this one?
Dibaba wins in 30.29 third fastest ever.

All the normal things. Anti-doping controls will absolutely be in place for a race like this.
This is the real payday for her, 5000m in Zurich 3 days ago was a warm up, collecting her $200 for passing GO.
OK, but what is "all the normal things"? Urine tests for EPO and testosterone? Blood sample analysis for abnormal values or abnormal variations?
Thinking a little more about this I guess they make no announcement beforehand. Otherwise, if they announced they would test only for certain PEDs, the athletes would load themselves to the gills with other PEDs. They could only announce in advance they will perform the full monty.
After a quick glance at
"Any Athlete who has broken or equalled a World Record in a running Event (from 400 upwards), a race walking Event or a combined Event shall be tested for erythropoiesis-stimulating agents and their releasing factors."
But I do not think they get more specific than that about what should be tested. And there is a lot to search for:

Sorry for hijacking the thread. Back to the topic: nice run. The weather report was good (temperature below 20°C). Is the course flat? Was she alone all the race (the second runner was 1:36 behind)?
Doping control was taken care off by the Dutch ADA.
The weather was fine, after 2km was all by herself (poor pacemaking). Halfway in 15.20, where she lost some ground on wr-pace because of headwinds. Dibaba picked up the pace and finish in the 4th fastest time ever, WL 30.30 min.
10 Mile World record is set by Haile in the same event:

(don't let the name surprise you, it is the Dibaba race).
Thanks. So, that is a good time for a solo run in windy conditions. I cannot wait for the next Meseret/Tirunesh match-up at the Newcastle half marathon.
Great run by Dibaba faster 1st half and may have got the record
Prior to that race Paula Radcliffe had 7 of the top 20 times. Pretty impressive.

I love how they allow Leghzaoui's time from NY to stand, which of course david monti celebrated gleefully at the time. the number of moroccan's who've raced in nyrr races and subsequently been defrocked might actually hit two hands now. thankfully i think the rest of that list is pretty clean, or at least i hope it is.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
