Predictions:
Dibaba over Defar in 14:30.
Simpson over Huddle in a non-AR.
There's this other thread here:

but we should use this one as the meet thread.
Early pace slow 2:57 1st k
PErfect for the americans. At halfway roughly 7:30 so right on 15:00 pace.
Jordan Hasay was the only one dropped at that point.
Then the next lap Jenny Simpson got dropped. Molly Huddle still on back of main pack which is at about 14:50 pace.
Final time will be faster with kicking.
8:54 3k
11:52 at 4k Huddle now dropped.
Very slow for these leaders
We suck. Let's face it.
It came down to the final 100m and it was no contest. Defar Over Dibaba 58.48 final lap (but Dibaba was leading at Bell).
Very impressive. And they still ran 14:32 off the slow early pace.
Symmonds with the AR coming up!
Oooh goody half the 800 has the same blue unis on.

And they are all in the back.
Nice run Nick. This winning from on the pace might get addictive?
Symmonds the front runner for the win!!!
Huddle must have died at the end and not sue what happened to the younger Dibaba.

It's remarkable how the frustration of finishing second at USA champs has completely changed his approach since then.
Symmonds wire to wire behind the rabbit in the 800.
1:43.5
Solomon 4th
The announcers were surprised Nick went with the rabbits but the first 400 wasn't that fast. Nick runs pace, not place the first lap.

+1. Once Rudisha comes back and starts towing guys through in faster times, and Nick gets relegated to the back (with the same split), people will start harping on how he's gone back to his sit and kick ways.
USA runners Simpson(PB), Huddle (SB), Reilly (PB) were the best of the non-EAs. If the US "sucks" what do we say about the rest of the world? I would say that Simpson, Huddle, Rowbury are better than the rest of the world, and it's pretty obvious that Jenny could take a good shot at the AR if she trains for it. Right now Hasay has some pretty stiff competition even from the US runners (Simpson, Huddle, Reilly, Conley, Rowbury), but its been a very long season for her.
It was an odd race, while Symmonds went out reasonably quick, it was a pretty standard pace for most of the field. He's the only one who looked interested in running fast, going for it and winning though and thus he got all 3.
Centro has one tactic now... follow Kiprop
I thought Hasay was burnt out, but Centro looked like toast out there.
