I currently advise a talented runner going through the college process
This girl is going to be starting her senior year and only has one year of running under her belt due to playing other sports in previous years. In this past year though she ran good times in both XC and Track:
XC 3 mile: 17:36
XC 5k: 18:24
3000m: 10:07
800m: 2:20
2000m steeplechase: 6:50
ran this steeplechase time at the NB Nationals and placed third, earning all-american honors, because this event is not as common in high school Im not sure how much it means to college coaches when their recruiting
the time however roughly converts to a 10:30 in the 3000m steeplechase, an event run by many college athletes
the top schools shes interested in are
UNC chapel hill
Elon university
Appalachian State University
Notre Dame
University of Colorado
Penn State
Boston College
which of these schools would be realistic for her to run at, and how much money could she possibly get, if any?
asking this just for opinions from more people
