Yes the offender has a right to speak their opinion, but continuing to include her name hash tagged in your complaints after she expressed it bothered her is sort of childish. The offender is the textbook definition of a troll...just there for (their) fun.

She must be new to the internets. That's ok though, she's a pro athlete.

As usual in twitter fights, both sides are in the wrong. The dude who tweeted her has been posted here before. He's your typical runner who thinks he could be better than the pros if only he had their talent. And Montano, well, she took the bait.

She still sounds butt-hurt from Moscow. She was devastated. Maybe that's what prompted her to race this race the way she did.

I kind of thought Cicirunner was very polite and respectful in that conversation... It could've been a lot worse.

That flower must be stuck in her head by a big screw that caused brain damage for her to pick a twit fight with someone

I was replying to the troll accusers, not to you sorry.

I also see nothing wrong or offensive in his tweets. She's the one who's coming off as rude.

You're probably right. If she had won this one then she could use that to defend her racing style.

I seem to remember another runner who ran from the front. I think his name was seb Coe and he set a few world records. Ms montano runs the wayshe wants to give her the best chance of winning. Front running is a strategy. I think she is the class of us middle distance running today. We have a great future in the middle distances with her and Brenda and Mary Cain.

He's got you nailed. And the moron harasser is some tri geek with a 4:39 1600 from high school that he likely can't touch now. Couldn't run with Alysia if his life depended on it. Just like the people posting here.

I've run faster than Montano, does that mean I have any more right to bad mouth her? No, this is professional sports. The fan's credentials in the sport have no bearing on what they say. These athletes need to just ignore the negative stuff, and maybe Twitter altogether.
