Mountain lions sometimes attack joggers in California or Oregon. Not a very likely scenario, but it happens

I run primarily with a 12 oz S&W scandium frame 357 magnum 5 shot revolver with a 2" barrel, using a simple Uncle Mike's Sidekick clip-on IWB hip holster. The holster I use is actually intended for a 3" barreled gun, but I wanted something that will allow the gun to sit deep and not have the grip stick out like an appendage. I use running shorts with draw-strings so I can tightened them and keep the set-up from bouncing. Then just wear a shirt that hangs down below the waste, or if it's hot I'll tuck the shirt alongside the hip over the top of the grip.

I've had great results running with a setup similar to this...

Unless she had no other choice. If someone is physically assaulting you, you have a moral obligation to do whatever it takes to save yourself from harm. Using lethal force to prevent rape is justifiable.
