Hi all,
There are some neat weight and performance tables on runningforfitness.org but I believe those are only accurate in distance running.
Do any of you know rules of thumb as to what superfluous weight (the good life, not weight training) does to sprint times, not taking into account the training that will partly enable the weight loss?
Tonight I do my first 400m in 25 years. I am guessing I'll do about 57". A 350m this week went in 52 starting my intervals.
Could be a bit worse than 57 if I get jelly legs, but I am hoping for a bit better.
Considering my otherr times, and the way I do in track practice, I think 400m may be my best event now.
Knowing how much losing 8kg would help will help motivate me towards reaching that fitness.
93kg in close to the upper band of what I've ever weighed. Bottom is 80kg when I was mtbiking like a maniac. 84-85kg feels good. 6'4", crazy long legs.
Thanks for your insights!
