Recently I was approached by the parents of a girl who is entering high school. This girl is a very competitive swimmer and has been for most of her life. She has been competing in a number of youth triathlons for many years and to my knowledge has never lost one.
Her parents have asked me to help her become a better runner with the long term in mind. Both her and her parents believe she will be a very elite triathlete one day. I think she has the potential.
I have a Kinesiology degree and have been running and participating in triathlons for a number of years.
How much should I charge? What would you have her do? Obviously XC and track with the high school teams. I want to take it slow and make sure she and her parents understand that just because she doesn't win XC races doesn't mean she won't be fast in the future. (She only wins triathlons because her swim and bike gives her a monstrous lead over the other kids)
