A Duck, typically I like your posts and things you say. I'm going on a limb here, but I don't see that it's necessary to go after Malmo. His career is over. What he says at this point is said in light of the change in attitudes about doping. Whether he doped or not, he has a unique perspective on the sport over the years. Malmo is not discredited because anyone disagrees with him or his behavior if there WAS any doping or not. In short, I would rather have his insight on the board even if he did dope than not to have his perspective. So, please, cool the witch hunt. it is not necessary

And if you thinks Letsrun can be sued for comments here, you nothing about the law. If Salazar wants something taken down and says so, and the site does so, they're invincible.

What bothers me more than his taking Winstrol is his constant fabrication about coaching anyone. He once said he coached "thousands" of runners. In truth he has coached no one and a few years ago the mere mention of that fact got deleted and a ban for the poster. (I know this because I've posted it a few times.) That being said, if a guy can't find a way for steroids to make him faster after three months I don't see why anyone would listen to him about anything else. Malmo and success were like a fool and money. Lucky lightning struck once but nothing he has to say has ever been of any use to more than the absolute beginner.

For those who watched the recent Mary Slaney/Zola Budd documentary, it was Dick Brown who was in the cart with Slaney as she got carted out of the stadium at LA 1984. It's like the whole Floyd Landis/Tyler Hamilton situation. Those guys were pariahs until one day evidence against Lance and others reached critical mass. Suddenly they transformed from "bitter cheats and liars" to brave whistle blowers. Let's keep in mind that Nike did everything in their power to keep the Livestrong gravy train running, and they obviously had knowledge of Lance's doping. It's not hard to believe any of the accusations against AW.

I forgot to thank you for saving and organizing those posts of mine. There have been a few reporters from SI, BBC, WSJ who have been poking around and I haven't been able to collect and organize all of the information they'd need to do a proper investigation.

A Duck has a history of going on spam posting episodes (I am not kidding, hundreds of posts at a time during those episodes) about this topic, which he doesn't understand any of the facts nor the timelines involved.

Everyone on the inside knows that everything I post is either vetted fact, or with additional caveats on how to determine veracity.

There's no reason to smear Alberto. I've talked to him a few times, and emailed him many times. I do worry about the TUEs, though.

An email distribution conversation wouldn't be a hissy fit. Nike's attorneys could be invited as well. At least all of the big players could be brought together and sort this sh1t out once and for all.

I appreciated malmo's post about the penn state controversy (still have that baby saved on my computer) and I appreciate his candidness here. As a long time reader who almost never posts, at the very least I can say malmo doesn't make me hate the internet every time he posts like A Duck. Personally, I know nothing about the facts of anything Salazar related so I don't have an opinion on that, but I am always disappointed by the constant witch hunting.
