Looks to be a good field, not many Ethiopians though. Predictions? Possible AR for Lagat or Rupp?

How many of those guys are doped? Probably most
How do guys like Nouredine Smail and Alberto Lozano De Pedro get into races like this? Their PR's are > 13:20. Makes no sense. I guess they're representing their countries at the world champs? But still, why would the meet director let them in over up and coming Americans like Ben True, Andrew Bumbalough, and Hassan Mead?
gotta get in some other nationalities. they'll get more viewers in those countries.
as for an AR attempt, I'll give it to Lagat. He consistently beats Rupp, and I don't think it matters if the race is fast or slow. Hopefully it's fast.
what are the chances of a sub 12:50? like 5%? i'd say that there's a 40% chance that SOMEBODY in monaco breaks 12:50.
I disagree. In a fast race Rupp has a better chance of hanging on than Lagat, as Rupp has considerably more endurance. Have Rupp and Lagat even been in a fast 5k together?
Rupp is overracing look at him he'll be burned out for the 10k and if he's lucky enough to get bronze, he will not close the 5k in under 56 and even ryan hill will beat him convincely. Rupp's not even top 5 in his own country.

Dumbalough made people angry with his amateurish lean at the tape. Pariah forever!

He was guilty of PED's. Dumbalough was. Prick Enhancing Dips
Longosiwa, Laghat, and Rupp going 1-2-3 in 12:51-12:53
T. Bekele will not break 13.

They were in a fast closing mile at USATFs courtesy of Ben True, and you saw what Lagat did to him. I also think there is a secret out now--or at least the Africans think they know the secret--which is that Salazar's gang have trained to have high sprint speed off a slow tactical pace, but they can't kick off a fast pace (which is what Lagat did to Rupp). You can expect the pace in Moscow to be pushed in the last half of 1500-10000, and everybody knows it, including Farah. Don't know about Monaco, but the Ethiopians have already shown their hand in this. The big questions are going to be who gets sacrificed, who goes sooner, and who goes later.
My understanding is that they are going after the meet record (12:53.3 I think) and you can expect the race to be paced for that. If Lagat can hang on to that pace until the last 1-2 laps, he breaks his own AR.

If you think that a fast closing mile is physiologically equivalent to a fast evenly paced 5k, you need to get your head checked. Do you honestly think being able to kick off of three 59 second laps is the same as kicking off of 11 62 second laps? The word 'coach' is in your handle, but if you can't even understand the basics of event specificity, I sure hope nobody puts their running future into their hands.
I shouldn't even be arguing with you. Anyone whose mind somehow twists the idea of 'fast race' into a fast mile at the end of an exceptionally slow race should probably be in some sort of institution. I truly am sorry for your mental condition coach d.
DIS FIELD IS A WHO'S WHO OF DOPERS AIN'T IT.

yup
This says its Kenenisa, not Tariku. So which one is it?
Ah, I just realized it's little bro and not big bro running. I thought Kenenisa was going to try to give it a go here? This is disappointing.
Anyway, I'll take Lagat over Rupp, like has happened 20 of the 21 times they've raced. Longosiwa FTW.
We are very eager to see our 100m race thanks to the participation for the third time of 2007 triple World champion and holder of the second best performance of all time Tyson GAY.
lol
I agree with you entirely, but what I wish you had made fun of is the idea that NOP has a secret, and now it's out, and now Farah and Rupp don't stand a chance.
Rupp is running Monaco. Where are all those--including the Saladbar man--who were criticizing Rupp for not racing enough? In any case, I surely hope the rabbits get it right and that everyone hangs on--should be great.
the rabbits need to slow down
they cant run so fast now with the passport
And as a reminder, Kiprop, Farah, Centro, and Leo are in the 1500.
