It seems like people assume that tall guys starting from 6'2 and up, don't have any book smarts. What is the source of that prejudice?

Honestly, I haven't noticed such a prejudice. We do know that, in fact, height is (very mildly) positively correlated with IQ, probably because of better nutrition that taller adults are likely to have received when young.
I always felt like I would get better grades on tests than the taller guys in school.
Not sure what your basis for this claim is. I'm 6'5" and do pretty well for myself. In fact, it's my intelligence that's allowed me to advance and do well in corporate America. I wouldn't mind being an inch or 2 taller either.
Are you serious? Being anything over 6'2 or so would lead to problems driving for extended periods of time as well as hitting your head on ceiling fans and standing out like a sore thumb in the crowd. The average height for men in America is 5'9 and for women tuis 5'3. To most people anyone 6'2 and over look like freaks or look weird because they cant build up muscle mass.
I don't know about intelligence but my guy is the perfect size and build for me. When I'm wearing heals, we are like crotch to crotch when we hug. Best feeling ever.
I think anyone who is considered to be above average in any physicality (height, muscle mass, build etc.) are assumed to probably be dumber, for whatever reason.
My sense is that someone here has Napoleonic Syndromes. In actual fact, height (read: tallness) is associated with workplace success over those who are shorter:

Tall people, not short people, are at an advantage. Some studies show height and intelligence are correlated, and many studies show that taller people earn more income.

The study I linked is one of many. I didn't know about correlations with intelligence, but tallness is associated with power, presence, earnings....in study after study. You won't see too many short CEOs of major companies. And many comments have been made on this board (from short runners who hate it) that women don't like short guys. You may prefer and alternative reality, but that's just the way it is. It's not the taller people that are assumed dumber (unless you look and act like Lebron maybe).
Being tall is very disadvantageous because it makes it easier for shorter people to smell your buttocks if you didnt wipe properly when you walk by them.
I'm not sure but Wheating does seem pretty dumb.
I'm 6'2 and doing well in engineering at a decent institution. Never felt like people thought I was less intelligent because of my height (I wear glasses if that counts for anything). That stuff about Napoleon Complex seems pretty accurate though.
this is a really stupid idea, one of my best friends is 6'5 and graduated from a high level tech school and is now a chemical engineer.
It seems little Carlos was trying to draw out some bottom feeding dwarfs in this thread.
Kind of like a Napoleon complex gathering, but alas the outcome is short of what he expected.
Sorry little fella, try again.
My father in law is 6'2" scored a 36 on his ACT and retired as a Dentist at the age of 41. I guess he isn't smart though.
I agree with you. I've always heard taller guys were more powerful and successful. In fact, most of the guys I dated in the past were tall (at least 6'-6'5") and successful. Some of them were lawyers, surgeons and business men.
Are you feeling insecure about your height and success level?
No. Not at all. I'm very confident about my height and success. Just because I prefer someone taller than me doesn't make me insecure...:)
Dikembe Mutombo is 7'2" and is one of the smartest people to ever dome out of Africa.
