They're going to essentially have a wall of male pacers on all sides of them the entire way. It's being put on right at home so they don't have to travel to a meet like most do. There is a primary date and a backup date in case of bad weather or one of them has the sniffles.
Now apparently neither of those dates are going to be "optimal" for Salazar so they may try to hold it a day earlier.
I understand that Salazar is a detail freak and all that, but it's getting a bit ridiculous. You can't live your life in a bubble. Sometimes you have to suck it up and just race. Would any non-Salazar athletes get these kind of accommodations to hit a standard? If they can't hit the time with all this, then they can't hit the time anywhere.
