Lagat won the 1500m at the New York Diamond meet last year beating today's winner.

I think Lagat won an international 1500 in 2007.

He did. I forget which meet it was, but Lagat won a major European 1500m race after the World Championships in Osaka. His winning time was 3:33 and he outkicked Daniel Komen for it.

Jenny Simpson won the world champeenships in 2011.

Manzano won the emsley Carr mile at the London dl a couple years back over lagat

Mile win in London 2011 over Lagat and Choge in 3:51.

Today was a great day (other than Centro's injury) with 10 guys going under the B standard.

But, international competition is not that easy...Manzano/whoever can't stay that far back and leave the kick to that late.

PS, the Paris DL camera work for the men's 1500 was just stupid. We really need extended solo shots of the rabbit by himself and the field completely out of contact.
