Manzaon? nope don't think so.
"Fabulous win for the little American...and he's taken a couple of big scalps there."
Lagat won the 1500m at the New York Diamond meet last year beating today's winner.
I think Lagat won an international 1500 in 2007.

He did. I forget which meet it was, but Lagat won a major European 1500m race after the World Championships in Osaka. His winning time was 3:33 and he outkicked Daniel Komen for it.
Jenny Simpson won the world champeenships in 2011.
Manzano won the emsley Carr mile at the London dl a couple years back over lagat
Mile win in London 2011 over Lagat and Choge in 3:51.

Other than that cannot think of one.
Exactly, the London win a couple years back, kicking like a demon against Bernie.
Um, has RUPP ever won an international race?

At least someone knows their recent history.

No, but he has an Olympic silver medal and you have nothing.
Yeah I don't understand the orig post either. He's won a silver medal (which with good drug testing improvements should be gold in a couple years), so what's the point?

He won that indoor race when he ran his 7:30 AR
I forget, has he?
He's quoted as saying he thought he could come back and kick to win it...but it really wasn't that close.
Who was the last American to win an international 1500??? Webb?
Sure some have placed, run good times, but who was the last to threaten for a win??
Today was a great day (other than Centro's injury) with 10 guys going under the B standard.
But, international competition is not that easy...Manzano/whoever can't stay that far back and leave the kick to that late.
PS, the Paris DL camera work for the men's 1500 was just stupid. We really need extended solo shots of the rabbit by himself and the field completely out of contact.
Epic fail for the producer calling out the camera edits.

Yes. The Emsley Carr mile.
The photo speaks for itself.
Manzano is the only American to win a mile or 1500 in the summer Euro season in the last 6 years.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
