Yikes, what happened to Leer? He just pulled a Webb. Jet lag? Just not feeling it? Injured?

watched this live yesterday.

if anyone was wondering, leer just had an awful day. i didnt get splits because my feed a kinda spotty, but he started off DFL and just hing on to last place the whole time. was never in the race, but never really fell apart. just started off apart.

Hopefully he isn't burning out already. He was running so well indoors and early in the season.

That was a typo on the Cork City people's part. Will Leer was born in 1985 so it's the guy we think it was.

Where the hell did you find that feed and how did you even know about this meet? I should hire you as you are hard-core.

If those 1500m splits are accurate, it looks like Leer wasn't making much of an effort the last 109m.

Yea...~73 seconds/400m pace for the last straight...clearly just jogging it in.

Who knows, everyone has shite days, and some runners cave more on their shite days than other-look at manzano.

props to Jordan for still getting it done. I'm not sure if he'll ever be at the top of US 1500 lists, but he's got a lot of talent.

I feel like he could be a solid steepler. Thoughts?

I'm psyched to see Ben "Blackenship" Blankenship running well again after over a year away due to injuries.

What do these times say about the accepted 17-18 seconds conversion factor around 4:00 mile pace for 1500- mile?

It looks like most people were 15-16 seconds for the difference.

I have a feeling it is. If so: the 17-18-second conversion is what you expect for a 1500 and a mile run ON DIFFERENT DAYS. These runners were pacing themselves to run a full mile. Had they expected to stop at 1500, they would have been able to push a bit harder, a bit sooner -- and thus go, oh, maybe a second or two faster. That's the difference.
