Can someone with Flopro give me a quick synopsis?
PS: Can't wait to see LR's reaction to the NOP series.

Verzbikas has clearly put a lot of introspection into life since his accident. He says that he basically was not racing up to expectations, was impatient, and became worried that pure running would not work for him. "I was getting slower... but it was selfish... I probably should have given it more time." Or words to that effect.
It was a very interesting interview. I really hope to see him racing well again, after seeing it.
Is he focusing on running fast running races now, or is his emphasis still triathlon?
It was cool to see him own up to a poor, quick decision. Hope the kid gets better and is a factor olympically in the Tri.
they found out he was gay

Any proof to substantiate this?
💀
Didn't he quit right before regionals? And their team didn't make the NCAA meet, probably would have been enough to get them in if he ran and had a decent race. One of the fastest that never was.
The NCAA did not take kindly to his kind
He is still the best of all time in HS
Right? It's like you could be openly gay, you could run in college, you could do triathlons professionally. You can only do one and each one has some risks.

Think about mistakes you made as an adolescent. His accident is an odd twist of events though. But he could've been in an accident (hit by a car, or something) running at Oregon. Sometimes people make a direct correlation: he quit Oregon and as a direct result, he got into a serious accident and incurred a serious spine injury.
He got into an accident, yes. He could've also got into an accident at Oregon. God wasn't paying him back because he quit Oregon. Am I making sense? The two aren't directly related.
Maybe it was a mistake to quit Oregon before regionals, but he was top freshman recruit, that's a lot of pressure, and I don't think many people here can relate to that. Plus, his parents were immigrants.
I can't believe it, but I'm going to post a meme from Reddit to illustrate my point. Scroll to the 2nd page, someone wrote in a comment, "It's possible to commit no errors, and still lose. That is life."
Cut viscount mumba some slack. You realize that the post you replied to was made 10 years ago, right?
He probably learned to cut people some slack long before you posted this.
And who knows if he is still on this site 10 years later?
I heard Lukas quit Oregon to join the Hitler Youth. Can't confirm that, obviously.
Gays were not allowed in the Hitler youth also he's like 70+ years too young to have been a member.
