Yeh brilliant kick by farah again they keep playing into his hands leaving it to the last few laps, gebrihwet wouldn't let him get the inside until the last 200 when the kick really started alamirew rang strong but again farah was just to strong and quick at the end. Very good run unless they change tactics I can't see anyone beating him in a kick come moscow!
They ran scared, the best chance they have of beating farah is blazing the pace from the gun, he has so much experience with sitting and kicking. They are 12:47 guys. They need to PR to have any chance at winning
Do you really think the double Olympic gold medalists can't hang with any pace these guys go out.

It's definitely a possibility. Especially since Farah always tries so hard to slow it down.
Yes I do. I don't think Farah can run 12:45, but those two Ethiopians can.

I think alamirew would have won if the other brit moved a whole 2 laps earlier. In a 12:5x race I think alamirew has the advantage in the last lap

The other runners should now the "secret" race strategy used by Farah and Rupp (Salazar). The other runners just need to figure out how to counter it.
All they have to do is pass the mofo. Pass him and leave him jogging behind them.
Good win for Mo, the other guys might try something interesting in Moscow, how about take off after 3 - 4 laps and hammer like insane beserkers....
If it's slow, Mo will be at the back of the pack biding his time 10 - 12 meters off the lead. A bold move a mile in could catch him off guard, suddenly 30 meters or more back. It would be riveting to see it play out.
they are not in 12:45 shape right now and my guess
is they have already peaked. In particular, Gebhriwet did his
best race in Doha.

It's quite possible. Both of those golds, although won in great kicks, were so slow they say NOTHING about whether he can do 12:45. Which HG and DG can.
That "MO-FO" Blew their doors off with about 150m to go! It was incredible to watch! They ratched it up, he ratched it up, they ratched it up further, he matched that and then let the douche bags have it!!! He exploded off that final turn and used a whole other gear to spank both their a$$es real good!!! AWESOME!!!!!

You do know that being able run fast at the end is not just about speed?
13:14
wow that really sucks
The best thing about that UT 5000m runner is that he would have joined the jogfest and had no impact in the Final. I am glad he was not admitted.
Thank you for your opinion, Mr. Chaplin.

1K split 13:05 pace; 13:12 pace @ 2K; 13:35 @ 3k; 4k is 14:20 pace.
