I wonder if this is directly related to his decrease in mileage? He also may be feeling a lot different since he is no longer training at altitude.

Josh Mcdougle sindrome
he needs to get away from salazar and get his mileage back up. Hopefully he figures it out.
We'll have to wait and see this summer I think. Pre Classic WAS a PR for him, and it was a LOT better than World XC in March, even if he could go a lot faster still.
Where did he say this quote?
Syndrome
He was talking about whatever illness he had earlier in the year and how he hasn't felt the same since then, like he's still not recovered. He seemed very frustrated and said he didn't know what he was going to do. It might be this video, but I can't watch it right now to check:
Obviously he has been having some thyroid problems lately. I'm sure his great coach will help him out with the problem!
Man he is down in that interview. I had the h1n1 flu 2 years ago and it took 6 months before I felt 100%.
It was bad enough being a hobby jogger and running like crap I can't imagine the frustration of a pro.
It's the pollen, combined with training at sea level which he is not used to.
The guy is a duffus. The fact he said something like, "I need to continue doing insane mileage to keep improving" means he knows absolutely nothing about training.
Most overrated runner in quite some time.
Insane mileage is going to do nothing.
We need to go to therapy. Seriously. I'm asking.
Needs to shove more of salazar's NOPe up his veins.
"Cam Levins - racing is not up to his expectations. states he has "lost his endurance" after Pre Classic"
Who cares, when he's smoking an 11.5 100m?
LMAO
You're tired and you want someone new. I get it. Bye.
Please don't say this. I'm scared this will transpire.

He spent enough time at altitude that some over-breathing would be a likely problem at sea-level.
And having expended so much at altitude some mineral deficiencies and even some insulin resistance might be an issue. Central fatigue is another possibility. Hopefully they've checked his ferritin including all related nuances (of which there are several, ratios etc to consider). My guess is the oxidative stress of his training depleted his oxygen carrying capacity and ferritin was called upon for cellular defense. In simple terms his body is simply not letting him push as previously. I would not have selected a cloudy climate for his primary training base.
He's gone to the mega-mileage well for several years. I imagine he was due for shooting blanks physiologically.

If he doesn't have an altitude tent, now might be the time for him to invest in one, especially since he was used to training at altitude for years
He needs to STFU and start producing on the track. Making the CA worlds team isn't that big of a deal
