"B" Standard in the 1500--3:37.00
Centro--3:37.27
Leo--3:37.04
Lomong--3:37.08
I find this utterly amazing. Also, what is Centro's incentive to get the "A"? If he only gets the "B", he goes, and he forces Manzano and Lomong to get the "A".

Inaccurate. None of the top 3 do, but there are Americans who do.
I think the context of the post is clear.
Rules say only top four finishers allowed to chase the standards.
AAB goes and we'll see that at least.
If They set up a special meet_AlSal said they would it would be petty not to invite Elliott and give him 3 hots and a cot.
But these guys can get into already scheduled meets wit out much begging I'd guess.
Also, a few good meets in B.C. from end-June to July 5th.
There are 2 Diamond League meets coming up where all 3 will get the A. Why is everyone making a big deal about this? You have to be retarded to think there will be any scenario where our top 3 finishers don't go, outside of Lomong qualifying for the 5k and opting out of the 15.
Both Centro and Lomong have the "B" from indoors.
Centro 3:36.65
Lomong 3:36.52

So you've decided to bring facts into this?
Sorry, I'll try to stop doing that. Arguing from ignorance is much more fun. Smiley face

Don't insult the retarded. They've got this figured out already as well.
My mistake--thanks for the correction.

Wait--I don't think I'm mistaken. Those times were at the Armory, which is a banked track, and I'm fairly sure that banked tracks cannot be used for qualifying marks.

So, as best I can see, none of the first four finishes in the men's 1500 has the "B".
Finally, apologies are accepted until midnight! Smiley face.

And??? If they have it they don't need to chase now do they. So what does that rule have to do with someone who already has it? Try quoting a relevant rule genius.
About indoor tracks:
• Indoor performances for all field events and for races of 200m and longer, shall
be accepted.
• For the running events of 200m and longer, performances achieved on oversized tracks shall not be accepted.
Banked is fine. Centro and Lomong both have a "B".

In addition to being wrong, do you really think this is any sort of problem at this point?

Now ^that^ should have been the title of your thread, no? WAY different. Context schmontex

The rules may say that, but they've taken people outside the top 4 to fill out teams before. One example would be Lauren Fleshman in 2011. She finished 7th in the 5000. She didn't get the A standard until well after USATF's, but did go to the World Championship.
Lomong and Centrowitz both has mile times that, if 1500-meter conversions were accepted, would be A standards. So it's not like they haven't run anything but shlubby times.
