The market is very "frothy" now ... a technical term!
Historical studies show that the worst time of the year for the market is from May 1st to Nov 1st. September is considered the "danger month".
November through January tends to be a very good for stocks.
We are now at an all-time high in the broader market (S&P 500).
People tend to become emotional with the market going up and they want to jump end. NO. Now is the time to Sell.
Buy Low, Sell High. Remember?
It's hard to buy low, but when the market hit bottom on March 9, 2009 many investors were still selling ... instead of buying!!!
Time to pare back your exposure to stocks in the market. Trees don't grow to the sky forever. It's a real bonus this year ... but I will bet one Mile Relay that the market will be lower on November 1st than it is today ... probably at least 7% lower.
