I would like some opinions of those who have or have had the Adios 2 and whether they are good trainer. I'm thinking of getting a pair to replace my Boston 3s.
I currently run in Saucony Virrata's(love them), Kinvara 3's(too soft for my taste), and ran my last marathon in the Boston 3's(worked great for me just a bit heavy).
If anyone has experience with the adios and some of the shoes in my current rotation that could give me a comparison that would be great.
I've run strictly in Adidas shoes for a while now. The original Adios was great for racing, but I personally think the Adios 2 was a step backwards from that. It seems like I maybe have more of a foot slap than with the original. They sometimes just feel awkward to me and like my legs are absorbing more of the shock. I train in the Boston 3's and have also done a marathon in them. Given the choice, I would probably do another marathon in the Boston 3's before I did one in the Adios 2, even though they are a little heavier. The Boston's just feel more comfortable to me. Maybe I just haven't worn the Adios 2 enough to properly break them in. And I use them more as a racing shoe than a trainer, so I can't really say how they would be on a day to day basis. But they weren't what I expected. If they were more like the original Adios, I would stock up on them, but sadly they are not. That's just my opinion though. Maybe you would have better luck.

I ran in the Adios 2 for all track season and really liked their responsiveness on the road and hard trails. Now I have the Virrata but I occasionally switch off between the two. The Adios certainly is more responsive than the Virrata so I use that for a faster day. I really like it.
Couldn't agree with Adidas Guy more. Love and train in the Boston 3, rushed out to get a pair of Adios 2 for a marathon as the Bostons were just a tad heavy, and just can't get used to them. I slap with them, something is just off with them and my stride.
