I have run 47.98 and 1:22 flat for 600m. What do you think I can run for 800 and what training should I do to be a 400/800 guy?

2:15.88
And of course, train to run on pure hate.
if you have a 47 high open quarter you clearly have some speed! I would say with some strength training and a base you can run about 1:52. Your 600 is 1:22 which is probably a 1:54 800 with your speed

How old are you?
Was the 400 open or a relay split?
Was the 600m's a race or in training? Running start?
What kind of training have you been doing?
Your 600 is terrible compared to your 800. If it's really accurate to your abilities, I'm guessing you're a sprinter who would be lucky to break 2:00. If you can actually do 1:20.xx-mid then maybe 1:55 but you'd still be way better at the 4.
i'll say 1:53 because i doubt OP races the 600m ever and it was probably a time trial
Are you kidding me??? lucky to break 2 flat? you must be an idiot
If you have 47.98 open and 1 22 for 600meters....Id say with some strength you can run 1 53 at least....
Thats only a 31 at the end of that 600. so go a little slower thru 600 and run 29 for your last 200....
2 flat.....what a joke....I trained many kids like you (400 guys who are strong and want to move up at the college level).
I had a 49 mid guy move all the way up to the 800 and ended up running 154.
47.98 is a lot quicker than 49 mid so I would say 1 53 at least!
depends on what kind of athlete you are....good luck!
