Most overrated comedy of all time?

Anything involving Adam Sandler.

Anything college frat boys admire... Animal house, the big lebowski,caddyshack. Never foumd any of those three funny. Blues brothers and the original vacation were funnier than all three

Who rates anything by Adam Sandler highly? Or Dumb and Dumber? Technically, I guess, finding them mildly amusing could be considered overrated.

I think Old School and Wedding Crashers are both overrated amongst my group of friends. I'm not sure if they are in general, because I think they are funny movies, but my friends said sh!t like, "Funniest movie ever!" when those movies came out.

Really? Its funny. And as a comedy that's all it needs to be. I watch Seinfeld rerun's every night and there are probably a joke every other line of dialouge and maybe only two funny lines fall flat per episode out 30.

Rapid fire. People aren't conditioned to that which is why the funniest series of all-time "Arrested Development" didn't get ratings. Too many jokes and dialouge and innuendo for people with IQ's around 100 to "get".

For TV comedy series I'm going to with most overrated as MASH. But that was popular when I was age 6-16 so it could be a generation gap.
