Just looking for some help or advice on this subject. I have a 13 yr old daughter that has been running, playing soccer and doing ballet for some time. The ballet and soccer have been since a young child, the running has been the last 2-3 years. She has decided that starting in the fall(8th grade), she is going to drop the soccer and concentrate on her running. I guess the question I have is she just seems to not be improving very much over the last year or so, even though this year she ran indoor track (2 days) a week thru the winter. I'm beginning to wonder if it's because she has grown from about 5 foot 1 to about 5 foot 5 1/2 in that time. She has put in a lot of work( about 10 to 12 miles a week, 2 to 4 days a week depending on the week). She seems to have issues, especially @ faster paces with cramping as well. Have any of you experienced this with your daughter's? My guess is that she probably has another 1 to 2 inches of growth in her before she stops. She is intending to up her mileage and quality this summer, but she also has been healthy thru this whole period (no aching joints or knees). Looking for some advice or coaching. Thanks.
