Did anyone else notice this in the Pre Classic? That Kenyans had "Kenya" across their chest and Germans had "Germany" across their chest. Some still stuck with the 2013 design scheme, but with different, nation-specific colors and country names added.
Not everyone wore their national colors, but it is definitely a step in the right direction
Nike has done this at the Prefontaine Classic for a few years. This is a one meet only thing.
It's nation-specific.

What was the light blue (Nike) signlet Bekele had? I think Lagat had the same one.
OTC guys had the black ones on it looked like... I kinda miss the green.
Those are just the national team singlets like people wore at the Olympics and will wear in Moscow.
If they aren't actually running for their national team, I think it's weird to wear a national team singlet. It wouldn't have made sense for all of the Americans to wear USA singlets, for example, because they haven't all been on the national team and won't all be on the team for Moscow. Maybe the people in the pictures have already been picked for Moscow by their countries?
Anyway, nation specific singlets would be good, but they shouldn't be the same as the national team singlet unless you are actually on the national team. Otherwise, that seems like running under false colors.
as one other poster said, it is a pre classic thing only and has been going on for several years. also, it was limited to some foreign athletes, it was really random who was wearing the singlets. ethiopia uses adidas, so those were the only national singlets that were not the same as the national team singlets
I think OTC singlets are green on the front and black on the back now. I agree that all green was better and more distinctive. Being easily identifiable ought to be the basic idea.

Not sure what you're talkinga about. The OTC singlets are green. On the front and back. They fade to a little black on the bottom (which is just the design of the 2013 singlets for all Nike athletes) but overall, green.
