do you actually think shes going to waste her time in the NCAA?
I think hope she picks Oregon she could easily win the 800 and the 1,500 at the NCAA's for 4 years in a row.

You forgot the "Go Ducks" at the end.
I think she should consider changing her middle name.

No need for a "come to Oregon" - we're going to see the announcement of her pro deal with Hike in 3 - 2 - 1...
Wouldn't surprise me one bit if she moves west at some point this summer and home schools her senior year of HS.
I know, I know, we keep hearing about how she's really into her academics too, but how much time can she possibly have been spending on her classes the last few months while she's been traveling the country to compete in pro meets?
Also interesting [as others have already pointed out] that she skipped the adidas meet a few miles from "home", then runs twice in OR.
GO DUCKS
Who cares? No one complains about how much time justin bieber or any other kid actor, or whatever, gymnast, etc spends on their studies. Cain would probably be a solid A- student even if she only used 50% of the time she should be using...

should her testosterone levels be tested, lol? Semanaya actually looks like a man, but Cain looks very girlish.

It would be a dream.
But I think it is time for Alberto and Mary's dad to have a long talk about the earning power of 5, count 'em, 5 extra years of being pro.
Mary has a great personality, she's media-genic already.
Hey Duck, Mary has a Mom, too.

I would say Cain has a bland, media-safe public personality, but hey, good enough for Nike work and for all I know she's much more engaging in real life than when someone sticks a microphone in her face a minute after a race.
fwiw, I'm gonna guess that Cain is actually a decent person in real life going by the way Montanio responded to her after the race, particularly in the context of Montanio having had a disappointing result.

Yeah, but mom, if you have noticed has mostly stayed out of the interviews/public eye with Mary...
Dad seems to be the primary adviser, I am sure mom has veto power!

I would say that at 16-17 you were not as well spoken. Mary is both well spoken and well educated, and a nice person (obviously).
BTW, I'd say all the same stuff if she was coached by someone else.
At 16-17 I said all kinds of stupid things, but lucky for me the biggest stage I was ever on in those year was the HS newspaper and a local TV quiz show.
I think Mary Cain is a great runner but so far I'm not terribly interested in her as a person although I am very impressed with how calmly she has handled the media scrutiny to date. I sincerely hope her running career continues to progress and that as we all get to know her better as a person that she will continue to prove to be more likeable than, say, Mary Decker.

Did you know there is a Chinese knock-off of Nike called "Hike?" Did you make a random serendiptous typo or was that an intended reference? hehe
