Yeah..except that no group of schools has ever done less with so much talent. There's something in the water at Duke, UNC, NC State, and Wake. Sadly, very few are immune.
Are you from the area by any chance?

Troll on, Broheim!
Yes. Ashley Brasovan. What a talent. She seemed like she was so level headed and talented. Which I am sure she still is. At least she got a free ride at Duke. Hopefully she will get a great education and enjoy her college experience.
Not sure. But I am. People I know have had a favorable experiences with the women's program, however I understand the fears people have. As with anywhere I would check it out in depth if you are thinking of committing.

I only ask because I don't think State and Carolina are like the other two. Especially Wake a few years ago. A buddy of mine was like a 9:0x guy completely nuts about running, went there, and is now a bitter, pot-bellied man who hasn't run in years.
Duke may have successful alum but ya I definitely didn't know they had a T&F team that did much - at least not in the last few years. I never really notice them in regional results or ncaa at least in distance events.
As for oregon woman still competing at a high level I can only think of Thiesen (sp?) who just graduated. Oh and Alex Kosinski - although has she run recently? I'm sure they have more not really sure who graduated from where other than in recent years. Maybe all the oregon woman burn out winning their national team titles and don't have long careers.
ps go jordan hasay
You go to Oregon to run fast. You got to Duke to show off to the neighbors.

Don't really agree with that. Go to Oregon if it is all about running. Go to Duke if academics is more important to you than athletics - at least for running. (If you are on the basketball, golf, lacrosse, etc. teams, you can get both a great education and a chance at a national championship at Duke.)
The mid-career salary for an Oregon grad is only 76K, compared to 102K for a Duke grad. The college decision will depend on your priorities.

Is there anyone whose priority isn't making money?
Breaking news: After reading this thread, all three recruits have decommitted from Duke and are instead going to Oregon!!
They must be walking in then pretty sure Oregon has no spots left after finishing with the top Men's and Women's classes in the Country this year. Triple Crown baby can't wait to the Friday and Saturday events since i will be their for the last 2 days. Go Ducks and Huck the Fuskies

Really? Says who? Oregon didn't even make the top 10 in the T&FN top classes:

What does going to Oregon have to do with the ability to differentiate between there and their?
It's not exactly a bastion of academic excellence.
