Andres came up well short of his win and sub-4 goal. Obviously the kid is talented, but just doesn't have it when it matters most. Great when racing against nobodies; cracks when the pressure's on.
This shouldn't be surprising after getting smoked in 4:16, losing to Wynne indoors. Saarel on the other hand has that X-factor. Doesn't talk a big game, goes out, gets the W.

His mistake is to stay in state for college. He really needs a guy like Wetmore to spike his endurance levels. 18-22 milers on Mags will do this boy some good.
Arroyo didn't look sharp. Tripling at State was ignorant for a kid of his caliber. He ran three mediocre races that did nothing for his fitness or psyche. What a waste. Coach needs to look in the mirror.

Um no. He's a star at 800 and had a somewhat off race. He's shown great endurance in the 2mile. He's come along way and another year he'll be killing it.
Arroyo is an awesome runner. He was well equipped to break 4, but ran out his legs with those sprints, and the same for Montoyo. Based on that, I correctly predicted that neither of them would do well and that Saarel would win.
