I hear Colonial will most likely be getting a rubberized track next season. There are not many rubber tracks in Orange County.

He's run 1:47. But 59/53 means nothing. To get 1:46 low he has to go 52/53 or 51/54 which is a whole different animal.

He's run 1:47.
That's great, and means he's as fast as Arroyo.

Arroyo being as fast as himself is nothing special.

true story.
So if he gets beat, he can just say it was a "talent" race?

Maybe, but you said Saarel has run 1:47, and that's quite special.

I thought Arroyo would break 4, before seeing this video, but now I think he will have a hard time to do it if it all.
It is one thing to aim for a race and give it your best, but something entirely different to think you had it made before starting, and then finding out something entirely different in the race.
Both Arroyo and Montoya now have the FT curse on their shoulders. This opens the doors wide for someone else to take the prize, so I'm changing my picks.
My pick is now Ben Saarel for the win.

Woohoo!!!!
And he did neither. His mouth certainly moved faster than his legs did. What a show he put on in that aspect. He should have stfu and the let results speak for themselves cause now he looks like a d@mn fool.

No I didn't. Find the word "Saarel" in my posts.
I did say the mile freaks were gonna ruin Arroyo's chance at the 800 NPR, and looks like I was right. All the sub-4 stuff was a big waste of time.
If you have a low quality pacer (2:02), high winds, and many of the top guys in the country, you are just going to get a slower sit and kick affair because no one wants to push the pace and lose the kick. For the winner even to go sub 4:03 is an achievement. Put a few of these guys into a race with pros in good conditions and you'd see sub-4s.
