coached by steve cram. i know for a fact that in the winter her week conists of something like;

monday: am. 5 miles pm. 8 miles

tuesday: am. 5 miles pm. 8 miles

wednesday: am. 5 miles pm. 8 miles

thursday: am. 5 miles pm. 8 miles

friday: am. 5 miles pm. 8 miles

saturday: am. hard 8 miles

sunday: am. 15 miles

im not trolling either, its pretty much what crammy did in the winter too. ncaa coaches could learn from this, i reckon thats why the likes of hasay etc havent improved much through college...due to the cross/indoor/outdoor seasons and the need to be doing workouts and stay in "good shape" year round. quite sad really. its probably worth noting the similarities between coach wetmore's training and laura's training...a huge emphasis on aerobic development...so yeah i guess the similarities between laura and jenny baringer are somewhat correct.

here is a weightman workout in april, all done on road;

1 x 2 mile, 3 x 1 mile (hard!)

and around about now;

1600m, 3 minutes recovery, 2 x 1000m with 2 minutes recovery, 3 minutes recovery, 800m, 3 minutes recovery, 3 x 400m with 1 minute recovery, 6 x 60m with 10 seconds recovery

and the obvious, 10 x 400m with 1 minute recovery

I think at the same meet (not 100% sure it was the same meet) Jessica Judd ran a 2:00.37 800. Some of the zBrits are calling it a world lead. It's not. Brenda Martinez ran 1:59 last week.

Sounds like a threat from the 15 to 5k, was crams coaching the primary reason for her not running at college

You forgot to mention how Crammy did hid running in the Brit EPO era......Crammy, Ovett, Coe

This was not about a short track, the issue was about how the "cones" weren't of legal size. I think this is just plain stupid as runners always try to run on the outside. Adding to the topic the meet was USATF sanctioned and had USATF officials running the meet. I think this guys are make a big deal out of a nonsense issue.

You know Cram was not a 90-mpw guy right? And if he is giving a 21 yr old woman this kind of thing, the equivalent for him (who made the Olympic final at 19) would have been running 105-120 at his peak.

You do know that EPO was not available until 89 or 90 right? Almost 15 yrs after Coe and Ovett were running at a high level?

Cram was a sub-4:00 miler a good eleven yrs before 1990.

I started a thread about the ReRun results being not allowed and no one responded! Pretty sure it's due to there no being a rail as someone has stated....anyone confirm this?

My bad looks like there now another thread on this started today. Had a look at the pics from the meet and you can see that some of the cones are not in the correct position (prob clipped and moved during the races).

U20 world lead for Judd, surely?

crammy did 70-90 miles per week, usually around 75. his pb mileage was actually around 120 but he only ever did this once or twice and got the same results out of running 75 miles at 5 minute-6 minute pace. the week i layed out was actually 88 miles. laura runs 70-90 miles, usually around 80. morning runs easy, 8 mile runs usually pretty quick with a university mens group, where she usually drops the men!
