Just back from the SEC meet and heard that there will be new head coaches at Tennessee, South Carolina and Auburn. With fresh blood at Ole Miss, Kentucky and Alabama it was obvious those programs are committed to competing in the "new" SEC that is led by Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M and Florida.
My question is who are the likely choices to get these jobs?
How is that Alabama hiring working out for them?
Bama at least shows some signs of resurgence except in distance. Their distance corps is garbage with Tribble's great coaching showing at its finest. Only in year two so next year will be a key one for them.
Please, please, please bring Vince Anderson back to Rocky Top. Don't know he wants to depart A&M with a chance to inherit the head job in a few years when Pat retires but he's my first choice.
Vince Anderson back would be awesome. J.J has been terrible at the helm of the men's team. I cant believe what has happened in knox-patch in just a few short years.
Auburn could bring back Harvey Glance who stepped down at Bama 2 years ago! Seriously should consider Chris Fox at Syracuse who is an alum or maybe Lance Brauman another alum who had much success collegiately.
Ralph spry is not going anywhere. Auburn is having an off year yes but I can safely say Spry is safe on the plains
Off year at Auburn? Its been more than an off year! How many teams have 3, thats THREE 10.1 guys and they have spent the season mostly on the sideline or running slowly. With a small number to focus on this is inexcusable.
If it was just this year that the team under-performs primarily due to injury I would agree but this happens year in and year out, men and women.
Recruiting has been down past couple years and program has gone stagnant and its time for a fresh start. Spry has done a good job at times but he probably would benefit from a new spot - perhaps UCLA head job that just opened or going back to South Carolina where he was assistant when Fry steps down in a few weeks or is booted out.
Your response to defend Spry is the typical Auburn response, accepting mediocrity. Under current athletic administration Auburn is going to be a regular at the bottom of the SEC year in and year out and rarely in the national top 10.
Is there any truth to this or just speculation?
Gavin Kennedy and Adam Judge were just fired at Ole Miss. Brian O'Neil is a backstabber and anyone would be wise NOT to work for him. New coach is from Arizona

All of the Bama distance group are freshmen, both men and women. Give them a few years and they'll be back
Bama men will never be anywhere close to as good as they were in distance running. They were a dynasty and took down Arkansas. They finished as high as 3rd in the nation. Give us a call when you finish 3rd in the sec

SC? Is Curtis Frye retiring? I doubt very seriously he would get fired. He's been there 17 years and had nothing but success. Who could SC hire that would genuinely be a step up from him? Arguably the top hurdles guy in the nation, and brought SC the first NCAA tile they ever won. That said, he's been coaching for well over 30 years, so he may be hanging up the whistle.
Why? Didn't they just land a huge recruiting class? Seems kind of stupid to me.
At least they don't have a team loaded with Kenyans. Joe Walker did nothing but bring in foreign talent! He did nothing with any American high school runner he brought it. He went to Louisville and started to import talent.

2007 only had 4 good Kenyans and they finished 3rd in the SEC.
They were not a Dynasty even though they took down Arkansas. Not saying Arkansas is much better they have their fair share of foreign talent but they had much more Americans on their team than bama did in the last 2000's
