Bay to Breakers is a 12k with a damn big hill.
It's not going to be "fun" like Ryan indicates in his twitter status.
Fact is that this year, due to enhanced security measures (read: the boston bombers), the no-alcohol and no-bandit rule is going to be enforced.
To understand the impact you need to understand that BTB is probably the most bandited race in the world with > 50,000 "illegal" participants trying to get from one bay to the other, stopping at every bodega for yet another PBR.
No alcohol at BTB? Or in that case, The Race Formerly Known As Bay to Breakers...
And yes it is a 12K not a 10K, sorry about that
I predict he will be "tempo-ing" it. When was the last time he put the pedal to the metal?
Prediction: DNS.

He'll say that afterwards if it's a bad race, yeah. Although now that he's under Renato I have some hope that he's prepared to race rather than run a 29:30 and say "well I haven't done any running under marathon pace this year, lol."

I too have lost patience with Hall. If he is going to show up to races between marathons, he needs to go out with the leaders and hang on as long as he can. No paid appearance Compitor 1/2 marathons where he jogs out a 1:04. The guy needs to race and race hard. Otherwise, it may be time to take away his Asics and Nissan deals and let someone else get the gravy.
Ryan Hall in any race shorter than a marathon = yawn.

Right. I don't really understand why he would sign up for BTB anyway. It's a highly competitive field with a bunch of noname Kenyans.

and you're the guy no one will ever care about. your point?
I just hope he gets enough footage to finish up the 41st day. I'm still waiting for my signed poster.
Hall does not seem to be in the game anymore.

Maybe Hall should get together with Alan Webb and start an agency business or something.
Hall will have a better year than Ritz. You heard it here first.

what gives you that idea? because he had a couple DNS's?
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
