Describe past relationships with running shoes

    When I started running I had flings with a number of shoes, saucony, asics kayano (which I thought would be the one) but when it came time to replace them I changed brands. Then I found Brooks Glycerin and we were happy. We had about a 8 year relationship. Its was nice it worked.

    But alas, I don't know what happened, maybe one of us changed. It wasn't working between us any longer. We hard to part ways. I tried another from the Brooks family but we didn't connect either.

    Currently I'm with a new nike Pegassus 29. Its seems good but its still early yet. We'll see if this becomes a lasting relationship.

    Had a relationship with the love of my life back in the early 80s...The Tiger (Asics) Excalibur. Wore those shoes for two years until Tiger made the absurd decision - as ALL shoe companies do - to "improve" the shoe. The new version had a thicker midsole and medial posting...not the same shoe...completely ruined it.

    I have not been happy with any shoe since, and I have had an opportunity to try them all as a running store employee.

    I read this as, "Describe past relationships using running shoe names".

    That would be a much more interesting thread IMO.

    But anyway...

    I had a 4year college relationship with Asics that seemed like it was going to go the distance (pun intended). Then in the post-collegiate scene, a sexy Adidas shoe entered my life. I still see Asics from time to time. But I'm pretty in love with Adidas now.

    I buy Aisic Gel Nimbus's as much as I can. I love to buy the older one's cuz they cost less when I can find a deal. So all in all I love Asic Gel Nimbus and for spikes I liked Nike Zoom Milers
