When will Mary Cain start her Outdoor Season?

Cain is racing against Jenny Simpson, Morgan Uceny and Shannon Rowbury at Drake Relays this weekend in the Women's 1500. She's going for the A- standard of 4:05.5

Is that the US or worlds A standard?

Worlds I do believe

That should be very exciting. That would be a huge PR for her.

I hope she does it, she was definitely the highlight of the Indoor season.

she is running the 800 on may 5th in san diego against montano, wright and martinez. nine athletes in the race and top 8 places get prize money....can she take it??

Don't think she's ever seen anyone take it out like Montano. She might take everyone else, though.

What about Ajee Wilson? Anyone know when she will run?

The 800 is scheduled for 11am. Terrible time. Think the times will be less than stellar, even with Montano.

It would be a huge pr, but not neccesarily a huge improvement since she went 4:28 in the mile indoors. She has only had a few fast attempts and kept improving. I would say if she's been healthy and is fit, it would make sense

What is the girl's high school record for the 1500m? I would have guessed to was closer to 4:15

I have a feeling Cain and Salazar have their eyes on bigger fish than high school records. The top time for D1 women in TFRRS is 4:13. Whether she can hang with the top 3 plus Brenda Martinez is an open question, but I don't think there are going to be any COLLEGE women anywhere near Mary after Drake.

Do you know when they are running? I can't figure it out from the site.
