Adidas running shoes are crap in general, and are even worse with the spikes. There are reasons why the top Americans do not go with Adidas

The following have better XC Spikes than Adidas

Nike, Saucony, New Balance, Asics

First of all the top americans go with whoever pays them. Second of all I can't speak for xc but the adidas avanti for track are my favorite pair of spikes I have ever owned

adidas isn't capitalized folks.

Adidas makes the best trainers followed by saucony. Nike trainers suck.

Nike does make the best racers out there usually though. Adidas makes great marathon shoes if you like em firm.

As far as XC spikes goes, Adidas had a track 10k spike a couple years ago that looked like a road flat with spikes on the bottom. I would get that for XC I think it weighs like 5-6 oz. looks like a nice shoe.
