if they can run WITH you, then you are too slow
You must first acquire friends before you can convince them to run with you. Good luck with that.
Why don't you make some running friends and then you can recover with them?
You know, I've tried all sorts of activities my friends enjoy, liked some, not so much others. But I've never had any friends ask about running with me, even though I try to speak well of my preferred hobby. The gym mile must ruin running for lots of souls.
Get a few of those real hot running chicks you know to run with you and your friends will join in.
PS drop terms like "jog" and "my preferred hobby"
Tell them that you'll only be running for a minute or two at a time, and that you'll be taking walking breaks to keep from getting winded. (Not to pay off an oxygen debt, but to keep from building one.)
Then do exactly that, whether you get someone to run with you or not.
