Last week I was running up a pretty crowded path through a park. It was hot out, so I was just wearing short shorts and shoes. As I passed a couple with a young kid (maybe 2 years old), the kid shouted, loudly enough for ~10-15 people to hear, "Daddy, why is he naked?" I've gotten some really funny comments in the past, but this totally caught me off guard and I couldn't stop laughing for a good 10 seconds. What is the best thing anyone has ever said to or about you while running?
I think the best thing that has ever happened while on a a run was getting flashed by a really hot girl down at the beach.
But the best comment came from a Homeless guy who said i was on Nitrous Oxide, because I was so far ahead of my team on a tempo.

I once had a very drunk woman ask me to have sex with her.
Had a guy in a pickup truck pull up next to me, match speed, and then tell me how fast I was going.
Running through the woods by a golf course with my friends, a golfer said, "woah, are those deer?"
Once someone on the south side of Chicago just said "holy shit!"
In Los Angeles, a teenager said pointed me out to his friends and said "Olympian!" That one made me laugh.

Well, it is good that you took this as a compliment, but many of us wouldn't have. You'd truly have to be a wimpy runner to take this as a compliment.
I got asked if I had a cigarette lighter. Hmm funnily enough I dont smoke.
I was running with a small group and as we were crossing a city street there was an older, overweight lady who was struggling across at the same time using one of those metal walkers. She looked up at us and said "Keep running or you'll end up like me."
We have a winner!

I was trying to chase down the lead runner - some skinny 20-year-old - in a local 10K, putting on a strong kick in the end, when I heard a young voice excitedly yell out "Look! It's Grandpa!!!"
That was my 5-year-old grandson jumping up and down as I finished runner-up 19 seconds after the winner. The very best thing I ever heard!
Damn that kid looks like Rambo.
Note- I have a bit more muscle than typical long distance runners but I certainly do not look like Rambo haha.

Thanks for the clarification. I was sitting there thinking "DISTANCE RUNNERS DONT HAVE MUSCLES" This explains it though, because you pointed out you're not typical (have more muscles than distances runners), thus beefing up your own ego and doing that thing where you are trying to say something but dont WANT to seem cocky (like when some one says "No offense, BUT...").
While in a 25k race, and maybe in the top quarter of the pack, a small group of us passed a dad with two young children. The family had the typical expectant look, signs saying "Go Mom", etc.
I heard one child ask, "Is Mommy coming now?" The dad's reply: "No-- these are the good runners."
In another race, a rust-box car drove past slowly with the window open and a scruffy young man offering us cigarettes.

Doing an easy recovery run through my neighborhood, it was hot so the shirt was off. I was approaching a young guy probably late teens early 20's walking with his mother. He said, "Man, I hope I look as good as you when I'm your age."
(I'm 45 btw.)

from the rednecks right after i mooned them for yelling "run forest fun" from the parking lot. then they jumped into their trucks, so i bravely ran away and hid in the woods.

Reminds of that scene in the beginning of Without Limits when a young Pre is being chased through the woods by a couple hillbilly bullies. One of them yells exactly like that:
